We regularly give interviews and provide advice to newspapers, magazines, radio stations and television companies. We are also able to direct journalists/producers etc to many of our colour blind volunteers willing to describe in detail what it is like to be colour blind in everyday situations. Until you next catch us commenting in the media we’d love you watch some of our videos and read some of the following articles.
Media appearances
Our most high profile appearance to date was in May 2019 when BBC Breakfast dedicated an 8 minute slot to colour blindness.
We occasionally take part in features on regional TV news programmes and give short live interviews on Sky Sports. We regularly give live radio interviews across the UK, especially around Colour Blind Awareness Day.
In March 2021 Nicky Campbell discussed colour blindness and the implications for the upcoming colour blind kit clash game between Wales and Ireland as part of his BBC 5Live Breakfast Show. The resulting call-ins and comments from listeners to the programme was so successful that Nicky decided to dedicate most of his morning breakfast show and his following one hour programme ‘Your Call’ specifically to colour blindness!
We also give interviews and take part in Podcasts – for example The Price of Football, Blokeology and Early Years TV.
We are always working to raise awareness of colour blindness in the media but we are a small team and due to the constant struggle to keep this page updated we no longer do so. For the latest information please follow us on social media.
